
Nine ‘hardy’ Fellows made their way to the Pilgrims Progress Pub in Bedford for our 6 o’clock rendezvous. Quite an apt name for the pub we were to meet in being that the Fellowship is on a road of discovery.
The plan was to get everyone into trios! A host of famous trios were to be distributed, including Harry, Ron and Hermione and the Brothers Gibb amongst others, to get everyone mingling. Even though we were a small but perfectly formed team, we still abided by the rules. Our inspirational or favourite books were then offered to the person on our left (the port goes to the left apparently!) within our trios.
The reason for the choices of books and the inscriptions were discussed within these small groups but soon everyone was exchanging their thoughts and feelings about the books and, actually, the whole process. One major outcome was that we definitely need to do this again! Twitter was again busy!!
