‘Getting Teachers Writing’
This session is all about encouraging teachers to write. The guest for the evening is Simon Wrigley co-founder and Director of the National Writing Project UK (NWP). Simon, who was previously the Head of English at Sharnbrook, founded the NWP in 2009 with co-director, Jeni Smith. It is a network of teachers’ writing groups, run by teachers for teachers. It is a grassroots, not-for-profit co-operative, and a research project that aims to explore writing and find out answers to the question, ‘What happens when teachers gather together to write and share their writing?’
The evening will also see the launch of the AEFP Forum – the Fellowships very own writing group – with guidance available for those venturing into writing for the first time.
If you have a colleague interested in joining AEFP, they are welcome to come along to this supper as a trial. Please can you advise their name and dietary requirements.
We look forward to seeing you there!
